LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG

Alrighty then I have not been posting for a long time so I might as well write a long post which is long in a long way.

OK so on the Saturday before the last, before going to church, my squad had to host a carrom (like billiards/pool except it uses chips/seeds for balls and you use a striker chip instead of a cue ball and you use your fingers instead of a cue stick) competition for NPCC (an inter-unit competition for Area 4 ). So then well I was in charge of moving people around and I was judging table 1(out of 3) for the last two rounds. Well it turns out I was one of the only (if not only) guys making people skip turns. So then the winner was Deyi Secondary School.

Then the next Saturday, there was Area Games Day at Guang Yang Secondary School. Yeah Kieng Wee went for Carrom and therefore I had to replace him for Frisbee... Fortunately, I was not the only one who had almost no idea how to play this. My Secondary Three teammates (Sufyan, Chen Wei and Ye Oon) had not touched a frisbee in at least 5 years. However we had one "star player" fortunately. Anyway, here was the matchup:

OK fine we got eliminated on the first round. But we were fighting against the First place guys first. Anyway, not included in the chart is our fight against Guang Yang for the third placing. Well they were like sec 1's or something so seriously, they were pretty easy. So you see, this system is not that fair since if we fought GYSS first, we would have gotten second place. This system is only good in determining the first place person. The round-robin would be fairer but would take a longer time. Well it was a pretty memorable moment.

When we were fighting KCP, we lost like 7-2 or something like that. When we fought GYSS, we were thrashing them 7-nil. But then Chen Wei said he was feeling so much like the bad guy here. When a frisbee went flying and I tried reaching over for it he took my hand and put it down and said "No Wyz. Give them a chance." So when Chen Wei did that, he gave them a point extremely *cough cough cough* subtly. He threw the frisbee on the floor not looking like he had tripped or anything and said "Oops. It's your ball/plate/whatever." Well despite that, the GYSS people looked like they really fell for it. Their faces were still so serious and all.

Ah yes and in the beginning, I tripped on the string(scoring zone thing). Luckily, I was wearing black but my legs were not as lucky (but my pants were). And so I broke the string and they tried tying it up but had to replace it later with a blue string. Well in the match with GYSS, I tripped again but got up a bit faster and I did not break the string. Silly me. Well I cannot say I was much of an asset but at least I did stuff.

And yeah in the end, Sufyan and Ye Oon took pictures of our(the team's) muddy legs together to remember that we won third(out of four). Unfortunately, I have yet to receive that picture.

So then Monday was class clean-up but before that, we watched the Japanese movie:
10 Promises I made to my Dog. It was a pretty basic movie laced with irony, reversal of roles and all that. It was a nice story but it was not THAT good. And the dog's tail wagging was CGI. Oh yes and I HATED that girl(main character) singing the English song. Awfully high and with the Japlish thing. Eww. Well yeah when her boyfriend was singing it in his erm... supposed-to-be-French accent, he got it right but then the girl(Akari I think) just HAD to ruin it. Well the underlying assumption in this movie is that DOGS KNOW ALL.

Then there is the topic of the class clean-up. Well you cannot say it was fun but it was fine. So then Tuesday was fun. Well it was the day of the class chalet and Yiming and Vishaal did not want to bring their 360's so I brought my XBOX classic(I had to lug 6 kg of weight with me all the way there...) with Halo 2. But before that was school. The first thing we did was the Year Head Assembly after watching part of the extremely vulgar movie, Good Fellows (At least one "f word" every minute). THE ASSEMBLY WAS EPIC!

OK the first thing was in the Auditorium. I really think the laser show went kabust because the lasers were everywhere. I think it was only meant to be on the screen because when it shows like the Omnitheater in the Science Centre when the Audi is not, it just looks plain wrong. Then there was the smoke machine. Hmm I think it was used pretty unnecessarily but it was pretty cool still. There was a skit about the memorable moments for us which was not all that good. Then there was the magic show of Dhivian s/o Thirunaukarasu (I think I spelt it correctly). It was pretty obvious what it was going to be when Dhivian was mentioned (or was it that it was obvious it was going to be Dhivian? I forget) and well the snow thing was pretty impressive, though he should have made the snow higher. And he had to get Kelvin/Yeo Ping Yen to voice him over. Either because he sounds extremely condescending and sarcastic with his voice or just because he could not use the microphone.

OK why did I just say that the Assembly was epic then say it was pretty full of fail? Well it was the end part. OK everyone was given one Helium balloon each(but there was a shortage so I and some others did not get any). We sang our batch song (Hand in Hand) and released all of these balloons simultaneously. I think some people went to take in some Helium and mess around with their voices. And some people released the balloons early. However, this balloon thing was EPIC and it made the whole assembly EPIC! Well I managed to grab a snapshot of the balloons:

I bet it was raining rubber somewhere later.

Then there was the Headmaster's Assembly. Because of the merger with RJC next year, the Headmaster this year, Bob Koh Chin Nguang, will be replaced by the RJC principal, Lim Lai Cheng. So Tuesday had quite humorous exchanges and stuff. Well in the morning there was the announcement for the lameness competition which was so lame that it was not actually funny. But they were saying: When is a time when people come together on a stage and try to be funny? OH THE US ELECTIONS! No. But it is kind of true. OH THE HEADMASTER'S ASSEMBLY! No. But it is kind of true(This was met with some laughter and an astonished face from the HM with his jaws dropping a bit).

During the assembly, the Head of the PE department, Mr Eng, spoke and said something along these lines:

When I first met Mr Koh, he was a friendly and approachable man with jet black hair. When he first joined, I invited him to play tennis with me. And all these four years, I have never had that match. And now when you look at him, he is still a friendly and approachable man, but his hair, one can notice that it is greying a bit.

So when Mr Koh first went up, he gave his response along these lines:

All of these four years, I have never received that invitation. And you know that waiting for that invitation for four years can really give you grey hair.

OK before the HM's final address, I thought he was some slacker but I learned that he actually did a lot. He spearheaded the Raffles Programme(RI to RJC w/o O Levels), increased our involvement overseas with the OIP, got the MOE or whatever to approve of the 4 million dollar upgrading project, the Community Day thing and others which I do not know.

Then we went LANning. Yi Fan and I wanted to go bowling with Edward, Niccol, Norman and Soon Hong instead but they left without us. Then Edward still asked us both to go check the school for his missing MP3. Did he really expect us to do that after what they did?

I had to borrow Leon's shirt and Yi Fan borrowed Jian Yeu's shirt to get into the LAN shop since we did not bring home clothes. Well so then we both went to play Counterstrike for two hours with the rest of the class and I learned how utterly pathetic I was. I think I was the worst in the class. I am NOT good at Computer FPS's. Then Yi Fan and I played Tiberium Wars and he utterly PWNED me because I had no idea how to play. Then we played one match of Starcraft against each other then I won real easily because he did not know how to play.

Well then we went to the chalet. An epic story. We went on the MRT playing with Daniel's and my PSP (Burnout: Legends and Echochrome respectively). Then when we reached Pasir Ris, some people like Vishaal went to wait for the shuttle bus while the rest of us went to buy cards. So then we went into Comics Connection and some of my stuff triggered of the thief sensors. Woops. Well yeah so the guy helpfully removed a sensor from one of my boxes and then the Looney Tunes Box thing could not be removed. I think it was bought from America so maybe that is why. Since the cards were 5 dollars, we went to Seven Eleven instead. We got not as expensive cards but still not very cheap cards for 3 dollars per pack and we bought two packs I believe. So that was around half and hour and we went to the Taxi Stand/Shuttle Bus stop and the guys were still there. We waited and at around 4, the guy came but we were going to the other part of the chalet so we had to wait another half an hour. Some other schoolkids were mocking us with one guy saying: "Hey let's give 'em money for a taxi". Well we went off at 4.30 while some like Vishaal and Daryl took a cab to the place. We took the bus there and then had to take another bus to the actual chalet. We waited for so long and ended up at Changi Airbase. We should have just walked and Ye Zhou should have asserted his position more firmly. Ah yes, and I gave Vishaal and the others who took the cab there my XBOX but forgot to give them the games. So they had to wait for us.

MWUARHARHARHARHARHARHARHARHAR

So then some people were watching Good Fellows and people like me were playing Halo. Well I was not as pathetic as when I was playing CS. I landed a lot of kills on Yiming, the most professional guy in our match. My main problem was that I usually could not find anybody. In my first match, I got second place. Daniel Lim Si Yuan did not know how to play so I was farming off of him a lot.

Then I got third or last place for the Rockets match. Bleagh. Anyway, afterwards I got first for the rockets match. Rockets is real stupid. No skill.

I was supposed to go with Si Yuan and Nicholas but they went in KK's car instead. So I got a lift from Mrs Lim to the Bishan MRT. Luckily, the last train was at 12.05 and I reached the MRT at around 11.30.

Oh yes, and I left my XBOX there so that the others could play with it. I returned Leon his shirt and I took my XBOX back today.

Ah yes, great news today. OBI WAN! Er I mean, OBY WON! YES THAT'S RIGHT!
OBAMA WON!!
John McCain was pretty gracious today, but his supporters were not. Kudos to both of the candidates.

Ah yes, on Friday, I got Red Alert 3. Well it's pretty good so far. I only beat up to the second level of the Allied Campaign so far.

Ah yes, over the past few weeks, I have tried to subtitle the German version of the song from The Nightmare Before Christmas, This is Halloween (Hier in Halloween in German). I took a lot of reference from another subtitled video but that had a lot of mistakes. However I am not sure of the complete accuracy of mine but I believe it is much more accurate. I am taking German now anyway. Hmm... I am still not sure what they say at the part:
Skellington Jack bringt dich um vor Schreck. Springt dir ins ???? und dann...
One sub said that it was Genick(neck) but it really does not make sense so I put Ru(..)cken (back) which matches the English version. I am not sure whether the second subtitle's English translation is accurate.
"Kinder ho(..)ren wir unheimlich gern schrei'n" was translated as "Children here us gladly eerily scream".

OK I learned here that the Participle in German is not only used for haben(have), but also for wird(will). And I learned some other words which I should not list because I learned quite a lot.

Well I guess that is the end of my entry. So so long with my so long entry so we will be so far away so have a nice day and do re mi fa so la ti do and so long!
